Travelling to places in the UK to spread the news of God's amazing love through the songs we sing. We believe it is important to tell people about God with the songs we sing and we believe God has given us many talents to extend his Kingdom. In October the singing company with the junior band visited Boscombe Corps of the Salvation Army to lead their services and this was not just an exciting and fun weekend but a great opportunity to share and show people the talents that God has given us. Sometime soon we will be holding an open evening where anyone is welcome to come along and see what we get up to in singing company practice and for children to join us in singing. We will also talk about future ideas and arrangements for children wishing to join our children's choir and to learn more about God, going to church, being a musician and using your spiritual gifts to tell people about God's love and His plan for us. Please keep watching for further details, dates and venue. In December the singing company visited a local residential home and enjoyed singing Christmas music to the people there and joining together to share some favourite Christmas carols and talking about the Birth of Jesus. We had lots of fun joining a massed singing company at the Royal Albert Hall Carol Concert in December and the children enjoyed meeting famous stars including Natasha Kaplinsky from Strictly come dancing, Rudolph Walter – Patrick from Eastenders and many more. On Sunday the 1st March the singing company are looking forward to leading the meetings at the Wickford Corps in Essex, taking the message there using the theme of ‘What do we hold in our hands?’ – Spiritual Gifts.
